Please compare juicing and blending – I’m confused
A juicer works as your digestive system and extracts the juice (consists of the water and most of the nutrients from the produce) leaving behind the pulp. Blending retains the the whole produce and basically pulverises it and you get a smoothie.
Both have a place in your diet – we can discuss in further detail at a consultation.
But where is my fibre if I juice?
Don’t panic, fruit and vegetables both contain soluble fibre when juiced.
Juicing removes the insoluble fibre from the vegetables and fruits. Whilst fibre is a known important part of an overall healthy diet removing the insoluble fibre allows for increased absorption of specific health promoting nutrients including enzymes, while the soluble fibre remains in the juice. By removing the fibres and consuming fruits and vegetables in liquid form, we are providing a nutrient delivery system to our bodies that allows individuals who would otherwise have difficulty consuming whole vegetables, the opportunity to reap the numerous benefits vegetables have to offer.
Will I lose weight?
If you take on a detox / reboot programme you are very likely to lose weight. Even by introducing one juice a day you will have a reduction in calories without depriving your body of nutrients. By incorporating juicing into your day I hope this will also promote other healthy eating habits.
But I don’t like……celery, avocado etc
I think you will be surprised by how flavoursome most of the juices are – please experiment and if you really don’t like something I can try and show you a substitute ingredient. Personally I wouldn’t eat a stick of celery but in a juice.…no problem.
Will I be hungry?
You may feel slightly different to your usual feeling of fullness but don’t forget your body is only using what it can absorb. Often your feeling of fullness is what your body doesn’t want or need and it’s just waiting to get out..(if you get what I mean)

Why should I juice?
